Description: Ever
wonder what knot would work well for a given task? Or the techniques for making
a tarp really tight and effective enough to help keep you dry and comfortable
when camping during inclement weather? Well, we believe a working knowledge of
a few basic knots can dramatically improve any outdoor adventure.
Contents – Classroom
& Outdoor Labs: Types of line; making a line stronger; the
real story behind 550 paracord; how to tie a handful of useful knots that are
1) easy to tie, 2) easy to untie, & 3) really work; constructing effective
tarp shelters; weather proofing your campsite, fire & cooking areas; and
making your camping experience easier and more fun with the use of well placed
vestibules.
Cost: $40.00 per person. Includes
a few feet of 550 cord.

Tim Kneeland
has been teaching survival to military, government, municipalities, educational
institutions, companies, SAR organizations, first responders, non-profit
groups, and the general public since 1965. He currently teaches survival
courses for Customs and Border Protection pilots and Marine officers, USCG
Rescue Swimmers, Charter Aircraft crews, and CERT/Emergency Responders.
